Payment Methods
Last updated:
Paying should be the easiest play of the game. This page explains how payment works at Jersey Lane: where you see your options, which currency you pay in, when you are charged, how your payment details are protected, and what to do if something goes sideways. The payment options available for your order are always shown at checkout, before you confirm anything. Payment questions go to support@jerseylane.shop.
Paying at a glance
- The payment options available are shown at checkout. Pick one there.
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Payments are processed by the payment provider you choose. We never see your full card number.
- Your order is placed only when the payment goes through.
- Refunds for returns go back to your original payment method within 7 days of us receiving the return.
- Store credit never expires and can be used toward a later order.
Where to find your payment options
We keep this simple. The options you can use appear on the checkout page, under the order summary, after you enter your billing and shipping details. That list is the only list that counts. If an option is not shown at checkout, it is not available for that order.
Why the list lives at checkout
Which options appear can depend on things like your country and the order itself. Showing them at the last step means you always see what actually works for your order, not a list that might be out of date.
What we do not take
We do not take payment by email, by text message, over social media, in cash or by direct bank transfer to a personal account. We will never send you a payment link by email for an order you did not start on our site. If you get a message like that, do not pay it. Forward it to support@jerseylane.shop.
Currency and what you see at checkout
Every price on jerseylane.shop is in US dollars. That includes orders shipped to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
If your bank account or card is in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, your bank or payment provider converts the amount. They set the exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That fee comes from them, not from us, so check with your bank if you want to know it in advance.
Shipping is free to all four countries we serve, with no minimum. Before you confirm, the checkout shows the item total, the shipping line and the total you will pay. Read that screen once more before you press the button.
Import charges
For deliveries outside the United States, any import duties or taxes depend on the destination country’s rules and are decided by its customs authority. If you are unsure, check with your local customs authority before you order, or email us with questions.
| Moment | What happens to your money |
|---|---|
| You place the order | The payment provider processes the payment, and your order is created once it succeeds. |
| Order confirmation | We email a confirmation with your order number and the amount paid. |
| Cancelled within 24 hours | We cancel the order and refund the full amount to your original payment method. |
| Order ships | No further charge. Shipping is free to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. |
| Return received | Refund to your original payment method within 7 days of us receiving it, or store credit if you prefer. |
How the price is built
The price on each product page is the starting point. A few choices can move it before you reach the cart.
- Size. Larger adult sizes cost a little more, and youth sizes cost less. The price updates when you pick a size.
- Personalisation. On some products, filling in the Name on back field or ticking an option such as a number on the shorts leg adds a small charge. The product page shows it only when the option is used.
- Sets. A jersey and shorts set costs less than buying the two pieces separately. The set price is shown on its own product page.
- No team pricing. We do not offer bulk discounts. Ten jerseys cost ten times the single price.
Everything you chose is listed line by line in the Cart, so you can check each player’s size and add-ons before paying.
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Each name and number in the cart | We print exactly what you typed and do not send a proof first. |
| Youth or adult size on every line | Ordering Youth socks instead of Adult is an easy slip on a long roster. |
| Colourway name | Black/White and Royal/White look different on the court. |
| Shipping address | The parcel goes exactly where you send it. |
| Billing address | It must match your payment provider’s records, or the payment may fail. |
| Email address | Your confirmation, shipping details and refund emails go there. |
When you are charged
You are charged when you place the order, not when it ships. That is because custom items go into production soon after you order.
One checkout for a whole roster
There is no team order form. A coach buying for a full roster adds each player’s jersey to the cart, one at a time, each with its own size, name and number. Everything then goes through a single checkout, one payment and one order number. That makes it easier to track and easier to sort out if one player’s size needs swapping later.
If you change or cancel
You can cancel or change an order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing us. If the change lowers the total, for example dropping a pair of Court Crew Socks you added by mistake, we refund the difference. If you cancel the whole order within that window, we refund it in full. See Cancel or Change an Order for how it works.
How your payment is protected
The whole site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Look for the padlock in your browser’s address bar during checkout.
- We never see full card numbers. Payment details go directly to the payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
- Your bank may double-check. Some payments ask you to confirm with your bank or payment app. That extra step comes from them and helps protect you.
- We keep only what we need. We receive the payment result and limited details, enough to match the payment to your order and send a refund later.
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to the information you enter at checkout.
Order checks
To protect customers from fraud, we may occasionally ask you to confirm a detail about an order before it goes into production. If we cannot verify a payment, we cancel the order and refund it in full.
When a payment does not go through
A failed payment does not create an order, so you will not be charged for a failed attempt. Your cart stays where it was. Here is what usually causes it and what to try.
- Check the billing details. The billing address must match the one your bank or payment provider has on file.
- Check the basics. An expired card, a typo in the number or not enough funds will stop a payment.
- Look for a bank prompt. Your bank may have sent a confirmation request to your phone or app that timed out.
- Try another option. Choose a different payment option from the list at checkout.
- Call your bank. Banks sometimes block an unfamiliar overseas or online purchase. One call usually clears it.
Still stuck? Email us with the time you tried and any error message you saw. Do not send card numbers or passwords.
Charged twice?
Sometimes a bank shows a pending hold from a failed attempt alongside the real charge. Pending holds usually drop off on their own, on a schedule set by your bank. If you see two completed charges for the same order, email us with both transaction references and we will refund the duplicate.
Refunds, exchanges and store credit
Every item can be returned within 60 days of delivery, for any reason, with a free return label. Once we receive the return, the refund goes back to your original payment method within 7 days. Your bank may take a little longer to show it on your statement.
Swapping a size or colourway
Say you ordered the Blacktop Jersey + Shorts Set in Large and the shorts run long. An exchange works as a return plus a new order for the Medium. Or, if you prefer, we issue store credit for the returned item and you spend it whenever you like.
Store credit
Store credit never expires. Use it toward a later order, such as a new jersey for a teammate who joins mid-season. If you are not sure how to apply it at checkout, email us and we will help.
Gifts paid by someone else
If a grandparent pays for a jersey shipped to a grandchild, any refund goes back to the grandparent’s original payment method, because that is where the money came from.
The full process is on Returns & Exchanges, and the money side is on our Refund Policy.
Receipts, records and paying for others
Your receipt
Your order confirmation email is your receipt. It lists every item, size, personalisation, the shipping address and the amount paid. If you created an account, the same details sit in My Account. Lost the email? Write to us from the address you used at checkout and we will resend the order details.
Coaches collecting from parents
Many volunteer coaches pay for the whole roster and collect money from families afterwards. We cannot split one order across several payers, and we cannot take payment from a parent for part of a coach’s order. If families prefer to pay their own way, each family can order its own player’s jersey separately. Just agree the product and colourway first so the bench matches.
Billing and shipping in different places
Your billing address belongs to the payer and must match their payment records. The shipping address can be anywhere in the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. A parent can pay from home and ship straight to a coach, or a relative can pay from one country and ship to another.
Discount codes
If you have a valid discount code, enter it in the coupon field at checkout before paying. Codes have no cash value and cannot be added after the order is placed. Promotion rules are covered in our Terms of Service.
Keep your details safe
We will never ask for your card number, security code, bank login or account password by email. Never put payment details in a support message, even if you are trying to be helpful. If someone claiming to be Jersey Lane asks for them, it is not us. Forward the message to support@jerseylane.shop.
When you shop on a shared computer, such as a team laptop at the gym, sign out of your account after checkout and do not let the browser save payment details.
